Made the decision to chop off my web dev arm so I can have more available time to solidly focus more exclusively in 3D/CGI. The bulk of it is now out of my hands & delegated elsewhere now. Yay. No more long & deep spells of code-world and more time for living in the world that has a z-axis & beyond x 42 x infinity.

Unfinished cupcakes. Woke up this morning, quickly realising that i need to learn the discipline of:

EVEN IF IT LOOKS LIKE CRAP – SAVE IT ANYWAY AND THEN SLEEP ON IT, BECAUSE IT WON’T LOOK HALF AS BAD IN THE MORNING!

After a good sleep – have woken up with so much energy for tackling textures again ..but there’s no scene to continue working with. Dang. Lesson learnt. 5555 :D

I think my judgement was affected by the ambience of light @ night in my office – so it’s a new element for me to keep in mind. Probably ok to model @ night, but not paint!

There’s a fine line between poop & chocolate.

Prints available for sale @ Red Bubble

Didn’t realise how close i was until viewing the hi-res render @ 100% – woohoo, getting there :D

Very tedious trying to scan MRI sheets with an A4 scanner. Hope i can work with DICOM files ..and volume rendering someday. Have a long term goal of illustrating & animating the experience of Multiple Sclerosis. With time – i hope to gain a 3D visual of the lesions.

Will more than likely need to tweak the profiles, but will wait until i capture the X & Y cross-sections. Felt good being able to bring out more information / detail from the MRI scans in photoshop.

Hard to capture good 3D stills at this stage, feels awesome viewing it 360 degrees and fly through my own head from the inside. Interesting how the first image has the effect of an optical illusion.
